“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ.” Titus 2:13
Dear Friends,
Considering what is happening in the world—the sickness, death, war, injustice, and decline in every sense of the word—Paul's call to Titus to be “Looking for that blessed hope” makes more sense than ever. The only way to stay afloat in this dark outlook is to keep our eyes fixed on the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord for this glorious hope!
Our Family: These are not easy months here in this part of the country. The arrival of the colder months brings with it a series of respiratory illnesses. Robyn has been battling the flu for a month now, which kept her bedridden for a couple of weeks, and like her, many people in our church have pneumonia and influenza. Thankfully, Andrés and I haven't gotten sick other than a mild cough and congestion. I ask that you keep Robyn in your prayers so that she can fully recover and resume her usual activities and that Andrés and I remain in good health.
Planting Two New Churches: For some time now, we have been praying to expand our ministry to other cities in the region. This is why our colleagues, and we decided to start two new churches in March. One is in the city of Rengo, located 35 minutes south of Rancagua, and the other is in San Francisco de Mostazal, located 30 minutes north of Rancagua. For now, we are holding meetings on Wednesdays, but we hope to begin Sunday meetings in the coming months. From our church in Rancagua, the Lord has given us two good teams to work with us to reach these cities. At the same time, the Lord has been helping us reach new families with the gospel. In Rengo, we have about 30 people, and in San Francisco de Mostazal, about 50. There is no doubt that the good hand of God is moving in a great way and we trust that it will continue to do so because these two small cities have a great need for the gospel.
Our Ministry: Along with 2 Sunday services, monthly Men’s breakfast, monthly Women’s tea, monthly Couples mtgs, weekly all church prayer mtg & Bible study, weekly Youth group, bi- weekly College & Career, bi-weekly children’s club…
We share with you some highlights of the year 2025 so far:
Felipe Peña Ordination to the Pastorate: We are happy and proud because this Sunday, June 1st, we will ordain Felipe Peña as Pastor. Felipe, along with his wife Anita and their two young children, have been a blessing to our church, and we are delighted to welcome him as part of our church's pastoral team. He will be the first national pastor supported by our church in Rancagua. The Lord's call on his life is clear, and we look forward to what the Lord will do through them in the future, especially now that the workload has increased with two new churches in formation.
Our Building Project: We continue to make progress in our building. The foundations of the building and the installation of a septic system are done. Our church in Rancagua a couple of weeks ago raised another offering to help with the construction. On this occasion six thousand dollars were raised. This money along with a couple of offerings from churches and individuals from the USA is allowing us to purchase the material to fill and compact the ground and leave it ready for the concrete slab.
What happens next? For now, we will have to slow down, and as we raise resources, until we will be able to continue to progress. Together with the architect we estimate that we need $100,000 dollars for the concrete slab and to put up the metal structures. We need to raise these funds urgently because once we have the main structure erected, there is a donor who is waiting to bring the supplies and come to put on the roof. There is another donor that will send containers with supplies for finishing the inside and outside. If you want to donate to this project, below is the information.
